Mr. Maweu, The Founder and CEO of our Company with over 10 years’ experience in the business environment and over 5 years’ experience in Arbitral matters specialized in,  with an immense extent in experience, network and knowledge while still striving for more in order to better lives and impart the community.

Robust, vast and diverse approach in tackling arbitral and mediation cases with well-informed variations on how to obtain a fair resolution of disputes without unnecessary delay or expense while maintaining confidentiality of his clientele.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Having worked at the Mavoko Law courts and Fatma Barayan and associates he has obtained enough experience to address civil matters between local, private, public both domestic and international arbitration in the business and real estate sector.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Bachelors’ Degree of Commerce (Law Option) from Daystar University
Certificate of Project Management from University of Nairobi.

CURRENT PRACTISE AND SERVICE AREAS

  • Arbitrations: drafting of agreements between parties, instigating arbitration procedures from preliminary meetings, issuing directions to compliance with the applicable laws, arbitral proceedings to completion and writing of an award in civil disputes both domestic and international Arbitrations.
  • Mediations: facilitation in the mediation processes this is considered as a voluntary, non-binding dispute resolution process in which a third party helps the parties to reach a negotiable settlement, which reduced to writings and signed by all parties, becomes binding.
  • Real Estate Law; structuring and management of development projects; Preparation and interpretation of construction service level agreements; Applying for and obtaining various consents and approvals required under the law; preparation of licenses, cautions, prohibitions easements and powers of attorney.
  • Commercial Law; preparation and interpretation of commercial agreements such as royalty agreements, equipment leasing agreements and hire purchase agreements; contracts for supply and/or sale goods; intellectual property such as patents, copyrights, trademarks and industrial designs.
  • Company Secretarial Services; incorporation of both local and foreign companies and business names; preparation and filing of statutory returns; transfer of shares, increasing or reducing share capital and allotments.
  • Immigration Law; processing of entry and work permits; acquiring and regaining Kenyan citizenship; determination of citizenship status.
  • Providing legal opinions and general advice to clients on contemporary legal issues.
